      Threats to a Wireless network

      Wireless network means communication between two network devices like computer without using wires. As we all are aware that this technology is gaining popularity, we should also be aw2are of the fact this technology has certain threats to its existence. Major threat to a wireless network is unauthorized accessing by users. Anybody who has a little knowledge about it can access your network by connecting to your WLAN, and this illegally used WLAN can cause a further number of threats.

      Rouge WLAN is one of the threats that are difficult to deal with. No matter whether you are using an officially sanctioned LAN, anybody can plug into your network. This happens because these wireless routers are inexpensive so any and everybody have access to them. By this they can know or even steal the internal data of the company. This is better known as spoofing. Sometimes they may even hijack your network.
